The Challenge

"When the student is ready. The teacher will appear"

I love this Buddhist proverb . Simply because it's proved itself true so many times in my life. Today is a prime example. I attended a training with a third party Activity Consultant and a 5 year top level representative in the network marketing company to which I belong. Both fired me up and gave me renewed passion for activity in my business. And I needed it.

30 months in and at a level that represnts the top 3% of income earners in my field, I stalled.  If I'm honest with myself, I took my foot off the gas pedal when I earned the car. I've been coasting ever since.

Don't get me wrong. I'm working. Running meetings, coaching over coffee, serving my existing customers. However I have all but stopped the activity that earned me three promotions and put me on stage as one of the top 20 leaders for manager development in our company. I got so busy helping my team that my personal activity all but disappeared. Until now.

Today during training I began formulating a new plan. A science experiment if you will, to answer a question.
"What would happen if I really focused on personal activity for 50 days?" No new ideas. No re-inventing the wheel. Just following the system exactly as it's laid out for us.

Here's the what
  • 3 asks a day
  • 8 group presentations a month
  • 30 minutes of personal development reading
  • Visualising my goal daily
  • 30 minutes of exercise

And the how
  • Get up at 6:00am
  • Honestly track progress
  • Commit to 50 days of focus

I feel the excitement of someone heading out on a new adventure. One where the destination is great but the journey will be even better. Thanks for coming along with me.
